What's new in AdApproved

Two kinds of posts. Releases are changes to the product. Policy updates are changes the platforms made to their rules, and the date from which checks run on the new text.

Google stops self-serve appeals for old suspensions

From 21 July 2026, Google Ads no longer accepts self-serve appeals for suspension decisions older than six months. The window to contest a suspension is now finite. Checking before submission matters more than it did.

    Google

Google requires financial services verification in 24 EEA countries

Advertisers promoting financial services in 24 EEA countries must complete verification from 23 July 2026. Unverified financial ads are disapproved. Financial services checks now flag disclosure gaps that verification reviewers look for.

  3. Policy update
    Meta

    Meta labels AI-generated ads automatically

Meta now applies an AI label to ads created or edited with generative tools it detects through content credentials. The label itself is not a violation, but synthetic testimonials and before-and-after imagery are. Creative checks flag both.

  4. Policy update
    TikTok

TikTok revises Misleading and False Content

TikTok's April 2026 revision tightens Inconsistent information (price, discount, product and disclaimers must match between ad and landing page) and adds a section on edited media and AI-generated content. TikTok checks run on the revised text.

Share links and PDF export for every report
